>the voices< is the debut 12 inch from bobby and annie. drawing on their experiences as residents at the mint club, uk, the pair have crafted a versatile ep that sits as comfortably in a peak time set as it does on a hazy 6am dance floor. taken from a collection of vocal out-takes the voices have been cleverly obscured through various production techniques and layered around drums and old school analogue synth lines to unique effect. the results are two haunting, hypnotic, yet upbeat dj tools. the title track, >voices<, uses deftly interwoven vocal samples as the focus and driving hook. shuffled percussion takes a back seat amidst a discordant, attention-grabbing synth interlude that harks back to the playful garage sound of90s chicago house. the outcome is dramatic, intense and functional. on the b-side, >loose ends<, is a more rugged affair that gives the bass and drums centre stage. the vocals are pitched and trippily float in and out of the track whilst the familiar sound of fairlight stabs punctuate the groove. the effect is eerie, yet accessible, and rounds off this stunning ep.

back on friday 17th september (2010)...second single for the hotly tipped london based producer pariah on the legendary r&s record label. parishs debut single detroit falls/ orpheus gained the young producer many high profile fans including rob da bank, mary ann hobbs, ramadanman, untold, len faki, appleblim, chris duckenfield and will saul amongst many others. the first ep also found its way onto high profile, and influential blogs and websites including pitchfork, fact, gorilla vs bear, no pain in pop and rcrd lbl, and was a recommended release at boomkat. the debut single contained the first two pariah tracks ever recorded and were instantly recognisable as referencing the hip hop beat collages of dilla and the moody atmospheric 2 step rhythms of burial. this doublepack sees pariah move further towards developing his own sound, and takes in slamming percussive club tracks, deeper 2 step excursions and downtempo and beatless highlights. early supporters of this release include mary ann hobbs, falty dl, ramadanman, ben ufo, untold and mosca.

finally label owner maurice aymard releases his debut ep in his own label. after releasing last year in einmusik label and sasses mood music imprint, moe how his friends call him has decided to show his art through galaktika. the ep has two strong remixes the first one comes from the brazilian s head quarters and old friend from the house called gui boratto. gui is a top five world techno producer, after remixing names like moby, massive attack and robin williams he finds times in his super busy schedule and delivers a massive tune. he changes the hole track, he stamps his sound on the remix and add and incredible rhodes to close up the track, and epic remix that will last for ever. garnica does completely the opposite as gui, he turns put some for jules in a techno tune for pick time hours, with groove and percussions as main course. garnica has find his formula to make great remixes and keep your head up cause will be more to come.

pelacha has been focused on her playground project in the past few years, with the support of her friends, she now decides to pursue a project that will round up her musical career: the launch of red sonja records, certainly a very personal way of understanding techno, which has been an obvious part of her career up to this date. this passion now results in two releases. and this is just the beginning... the first release contains pelachas cuts in their purest style, techno without additives, a drum and bass line that absorbs the spotlight, led by a line that sets the synth pace - simple and effective. heiko lauxs interpretation gives this track a german touch, tight bass and a touch of surround development sound pure and highly hypnotic.
